The Melodic Minds series features five podcasts developed by local Vincentia High School students as part of the Curious and Creative program in partnership with BCR Communities, Firefly Bay & Basin and Community Radio 92.7FM. Each episode covers an era of musical genres spanning the 1970’s to the 2010’s. We start the series in the 1970s, the decade of disco, funk, soul and the start of punk rock. Listen to an eclectic collection of 70s classics including Fleetwood Mac, Kate Bush, Elton John, Queen and The Angels.

In this episode, we go back to the 1980s – the time of MTV, music videos, electronic music and when the pub rock scene in Australia was exploding. With so much great music to choose from, which songs will the Curious & Creative team pick? Expect to hear The Smiths, Journey, Mondo Rock and a few surprises!

The Melodic Minds series features five podcasts developed by local Vincentia High School students as part of the Curious and Creative program in partnership with BCR Communities, Firefly Bay & Basin and Community Radio 92.7FM. Each episode covers an era of musical genres spanning the 1970’s to the 2010’s. In this episode the Curious and Creative team explore the 1990s, the decade which saw the start of the internet and big music festivals attracted massive audiences. They start their 90s journey with Return of the Mack and play hits from Radio Head, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Jamiroquai and more along the way.

The Melodic Minds series features five podcasts developed by local Vincentia High School students as part of the Curious and Creative program in partnership with BCR Communities, Firefly Bay & Basin and Community Radio 92.7FM. Each episode covers an era of musical genres spanning the 1970’s to the 2010’s. In this episode we go back to the turn of the century with the 2000s which saw the rise of Australian artists like Silverchair, Powderfinger, the Hilltop Hoods, Delta Goodrem and Guy Sebastian. The Melodic Minds series features five podcasts developed by local Vincentia High School students as part of the Curious and Creative program in partnership with BCR Communities, Firefly Bay & Basin and Community Radio 92.7FM. Each episode covers an era of musical genres spanning the 1970’s to the 2010’s. In this last episode the Curious & Creative team explore the music of the 2010s starting with Lana Del Ray and Florence and the Machine through to Bruno Mars, Avicii, Eminem and The National.
